Description
The Lea pairs an oval brilliant cut centre diamond with a hidden halo — a ring of smaller round brilliant diamonds set beneath the centre stone, invisible from above but catching the light from the side and adding a subtle base of sparkle the eye doesn’t immediately register as separate from the main diamond.
A hidden halo works differently to a standard halo. Rather than framing the centre stone with visible diamonds around its edge, the halo sits tucked underneath, so from directly above the ring reads exactly like a solitaire — clean, uninterrupted, all attention on the centre diamond. It’s only when the ring catches the light from an angle, or is viewed from the side, that the hidden halo reveals itself, adding a subtle boost of brilliance and, practically, making the centre stone appear very slightly larger than its actual carat weight.
Every hidden halo diamond is hand-selected to match the quality of the centre stone, so there’s no visible difference in brightness or clarity between the centre diamond and the halo beneath it.
The centre diamond shown is 1.00ct (8.6mm x 5.5mm), with a total hidden halo diamond weight of 0.04ct, F colour, VS clarity. The ring is 2mm wide, with a total weight of approximately 3.2g in 18ct gold or 4.1g in platinum. Every ring is hallmarked — 750 for 18ct gold, 950 for platinum.
Priced from £1,750 (final price depending on diamond choice). This ring sits flush next to any wedding band, including the Camille diamond wedding band shown here.
